I have been practising as a Bowen Therapist for the last decade. My work is informed by the mindbody approach to Bowen. I completed a Diploma of Energetic Healing in 2003 which informs my understanding. My fascination with mindbody medicine has led me on a journey of self-study for the past 20 years. Cutting edge fields of science like epigenetics, psychoneuroimmunology, and neuroscience are continuously updating our understanding of mindbody medicine. Bowen Therapy is my modality of choice as it has a very implicit reverence for the innate intelligence of the body and the human being. We humans thrive on tender touch.

How can Bowen help me ?

Bowen Therapy can help you in a myriad of ways. Whether you are in pain, or feel out-of-alignment, if you are feeling fatigued, Bowen can help you restore your sense of balance.

Bowen moves remind and activate the body to return to its original blueprint; the cellular memory of health and balance which we were all created with from the moment of conception.

You can compare it to tuning a string instrument that needs adjustments to the tension on the strings to tune the instrument. The body is our instrument and all parts need to be in tune with each other to function in harmony and balance.

Is it to soon to come back ?

It is usual to leave between 5 and 10 days before returning for a follow-up session. This is because the moves are input/signals placed into the body and they continue to work for up to 10 days.  If you have an acute situation that you wish to address, like a sore lower back, it’s good to have 2 or 3 sessions over a few weeks. Some clients chose to come regularly, say once a month, as a maintenance tune-up. Each session gives your body the opportunity to restore it’s sense of balance. Each session is a valuable investment of time.
